THE CLUB CELEBRATES IT’S 50TH ANNIVERSARY IN 2010 – CELEBRATION IDEAS WANTED…….NONE SO FAR RECEIVED….PARTY POOPERS…..
OUTDOOR SHOOTING 2009
AT THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (WHERE WERE YOU ALL! NOT AT A DIFFERENT VENUE SURELY?) IT WAS REPORTED THAT THE CLUB HAVE AGREED A 3 YEAR LEASE WITH THE OWNERS OF UP YONDER TO CONINUE SHOOTING THERE.
OVER THE WINTER WHEN THE GROUND HARDENS UP THE TWO CONTAINERS WILL BE MOVED TO BEHIND THE SHOOTING LINE. THIS WILL BE DONE USING AROUND 20 BURLY ARCHERS (WOMEN INCLUDED IF YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF BURLY OROF EQUAL STRENGTH TO MAN), THE TRACTOR AND THE EGYPTIAN METHOD OF MOVING BULKY OBJECTS.
THERE WILL BE AN ANNOUNCEMENT NEARER THE TIME (SO IN THE MEANTIME GET YOURSELF DOWN THE GYM AND BEEF YOUSELF UP!).
THE SHOOTING LINE WILL HAVE TO BE TAKEN FORWARD WHICH ALSO MEANS MORE DISTANCE MARKERS TO BE SET. THERE IS ALSO A PLAN TO PUT A COVER OUT FROM THE CONTAINERS AND EVENTUALY ONE HALF OF ONE OF THE CONTAINERS MAY BE USED AS A CLUB ROOM.
WHEN ASKED ABOUT WINTER SHOOTING IT WAS STATED THAT THERE WAS NO OBJECTION, BUT THERE MAY BE TIMES WHEN SHOOTING MAY NOT BE APPROPRIATE AND YOU MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE.
THE OWNERS PLAN TO INCREASE THEIR STABLING AREA AND THE SIZE OF THE CAR PARK.
ALTHOUGH THE YEARLY FEE HAS INCREASED THE COMMITTEE HAVE DECIDED THERE WILL BE NO INCREASE IN SUBSCIPTION FEES.

There are NO club colours for trousers – you must wear either green or white only.

As soon as possible following commencement of outdoor shooting (starting 1st March) the annual “prod-a-brick” and “paint your mobile phone” events will take place. to the following archers who shot for the Senior County Team: Larry Godfrey Adam
Shaw Gary Bunce Jake Bunce Teresa Bridges Carol Brimfield Luke
Jones - how does he do it?? He doesn't even practice!!?? I would put in photos
but I don't want to scare our younger members!! And those selected for the
Junior County Team: Jake Bunce Sam Brake And
finally, once again another reminder to get you scores in to: Seniors - Chris
Jones Juniors - Tricia Pillay
before the reassessments are done.
Scores
should be sent to records officers on a monthly basis as we have to get them to
County every month.
Juniors - whereas I used to attend most tournaments
you attended and would get the result sheets, Tricia does not. If you do not hand
your scores to Tricia on the relevant handicap / score sheets that are in the
container (or by email if you can't get to the ground) they will not be recorded.
Seniors - you are old enough and wise enough to know what to do - I hope!
